Looking to go on vacation for a couple of days (like four) since we’re only a couple hours away from yosemite. I’m sure some of you have done this before and maybe know of a nice vacation rental home for a good price, the nicer, closer to yosemite, and less expensive the better. Thanks.

You can also try Cedar Lodge – http://www.yosemite-motels.com/cedarlodge/index.htm. Not shown on their web site are several 3 bedroom units with full kitchen. One of the units has a washer/dryer, 3 bathrooms, private deck, swimming pool and hot tub. I stayed in that unit once and loved it. You have to call the hotel to inquire about those units. However, I believe they start at about $300 per night.

I am currently renting an apartment and my lease is up in July. Because of the economy and the rate of foreclosures, I hear that a lot of people (and banks/real estate agencies and associations) are leasing or renting condos, homes and townhouses. I am not looking for a vacation rental; I am actually looking to rent more long term, a minimum of one year. Should I be contacting a real estate agent and will they charge me for the search?
